KriyaKalap (Activities)

Education

  • Chhatrawas (Hostel-cum-school )

Students in these areas are not getting better ambience for education. For all round development of some tribal students from different parts of this district, two hostels one at Karirar, Chapki and another at Bari, Dala are run. About 95 students are availing its benefit in these two hostels. They are getting education till class 6th there in the Ashram and after that they have to go nearby high-school at the distance of 7km on bicycle daily.

Students are trained in archery, their traditional sport. Every year about 10-12 students are selected by national sport authority.

Students are financially helped for continuing for higher education.

  • Balwadi Kendra

This is run just like a primary school in those villages where there is no functional government schools. Such schools have educated people of the remotest area. Earlier total number of such schools was 26, but it is now run at 8 places only. The rest is now run by Government.

Health

  • Medical camp
  • Monthly medical camp
  • Future Plan: To run a fully fledged Hospital

Self-dependence

A tribal village was self dependent. We have to come up with ideas to create job opportunity for youth in their village only. These are the area which has potential to generate job opportunities.

  • Develop organic farming to increase produce with least cost
  • Animal Husbandry (Gosala, Kukkut palan, etc.)
  • Jadi-booty (Become an intermediary to provide proper price to the workers), some may be trained to treat people in the villages.
  • Occupation based on use of leaves (Tendu, Palas)
  • Fruit-processing unit (amla, mahua, guava, mango etc.)

Dignity

  • Recognition of their culture

Tribal people are proud of their age long traditional culture. So besides doing the giant job of bringing them in main stream, it is the duty of civilized world to give a respectable status to their customs and traditions. Keeping this in mind, Sewa Samarpan Sansthan organizes public events where people are getting chance to perform their own cultural heritage among the audience. Students in Chhatrawas are encouraged to learn those traditional dances and folklores. Whenever there some public program is conducted, these children are encouraged to performance. They all have got applause from eminent personalities for their quality.

  • Enhancement of their sports capability

Given the chance they will excel in sports. Keeping this in mind, students are trained in Archery. Every year many students are selected by sports committee of Government for further training. They have won many regional and national awards.
